Leadership Keystone Program
A six-month program for healthcare executives
Leadership development has been one of my passions for the past 20 years, and it’s the reason I went into medicine — so I could support those in leadership and those who want to use their strengths and talents to make the world of healthcare a better place. Leading with heart, business savvy, clinical acumen, and modeling resilience and health — individually and organizationally — is no small task for executives in healthcare today.
This foundational program provides you (and your organization) the shortest distance between identifying your development opportunities and getting better results, in your personal efficacy and well-being and in the groups you lead and manage.
The beauty of this program is that it offers you complete confidentiality so you really have the space to surface and explore your personal aspirations and concerns. At the same time, it’s designed to include key stakeholders so that the coaching also serves the organization’s goals for your leadership role.
Phase 1: Aligning Your Inner Compass to true North
Where you get clear about who you are, what’s important to you, and where you’re going. This phase is designed to unpack the treasure chest, so to speak, of who you are. It involves assessments that give you different ways of understanding yourself and how you show up in the world, including a 360 process that tells you how other people perceive you showing up.
Specifically, what’s included:
- Heart of Healthcare Client Information Questionnaire
- A series of self-assessments:
- MBTI (innate personality preferences & type)
- Reiss (identifies your motivational drives and core values)
- LSI (your learning style)
- NLP (the neuro-linguistic representational style you use)
- TKI (your conflict style)
- A 360-degree multi-rater assessment and feedback — which gives you critical information about how others perceive you. There are 3 to choose from, and we use the one that best fits your situation.
- Get to Know You Session — a 4-hour session (may be done in 2 meetings) in which we review all assessments, feedback from any interviews, and your questionnaire from which we identify at a high-level your coaching goals.
Phase 2: Building the Bridge to Get You To Your Desired Destination
In this phase, you create a development plan based on your strengths and development opportunities which in essence provides the bridge to get to the next level of leadership excellence, The plan is complete with clarity of purpose, your personal vision, clear goals, action steps and metrics for success. This process typically takes about 4 hours.
Phase 3: Full Speed Ahead: Implementing your Intention through Action
Four months of coaching focused on implementation of your development plan, in which we keep our attention both on your personal development goals and your business/organizational performance goals. The sessions are driven by your agenda, needs, and goals, with opportunities to focus on self-development as it impacts your leadership effectiveness, challenges and roadblocks you’re encountering to accomplishing your goals, and opportunities for growth and expansion.
Phase 4: Taking Stock & Determining the Next Steps
This is a 2-hour wrap up session in which we look at the changes and accomplishments you’ve achieved over the course of the engagement and create an action plan for moving forward. This might focus on continued self-directed work or exploring goals for extended coaching.
The Standard Program includes:
- A battery of self-assessments and 360 feedback to deepen self-knowledge and feedback on how your environment perceive you
- A personalized development plan
- Creation of development team that provides ongoing support and feedback, considered a key success factor for behavior change
- 26 hours of one-on-one coaching time
- Sponsor sessions — the sponsors may be your supervisor and/or your HR partner. This program starts and ends with meetings that include the sponsors, and we also build in brief sponsor meetings every 4-6 weeks so that we can get input and feedback from the organization and make adjustments as needed in the coaching.
- Audio for Relaxation & Centering
- Personal Leadership Journal
- Articles on personal, leadership, and team development
The Premium Program includes all of the above, plus a set of 360-degree feedback interviews that I conduct in person and from which you get a summary report.
